FALL 2010
Montana Deer Hunt
My Last Day Montana Buck. This was the First day it was above Zero and the deer seemed to be moving a little more.
The Terrain was tough to navigate in the deep snow with 20-40 below weather.
Another view of the barren land. This day it was 16 below with winds of 25 plus miles per hour.
Another picture of the last day buck. The Rut was in Full swing and all does in season were attended. I had spotted a 4X4 and 4X5 earlier in the week that were better but, was hoping to run downt the giant.
Washington Deer Hunt
A gene pool buck that should help out in the long run.
SPRING 2010
New Zealand
My First Free Ranging Tahr. Believe me there is a difference between free ranging and not.
My Chamois was not as demanding but a rewarding trophy non the less. A very pretty animal.
The Mountians in New Zealand were incredible.
The ridge in the middle of the picture is where we spotted the Tahr. It doesn't look like it but it is a well over a mile away and an elevation gain of 1000'.
A string of Free Ranging Tahr in a snowy basin. The snow was upper thigh deep. A hard crust made it easier to navigate for those light on there feet.
Washington Turkey Hunt
The Roost Sloose paid off.
Nice spurs on this older Tom.
9.5 inch Beard
Daniel with this years Long Beard. One of the few normal pictures you will ever find of him.

Turkey Hunt 2008

2007 Ranch Hunt
From Left to Right, Ron, Daniel, and Dan.
Dan and crew with his mature Muley. It appears in the barage of fire a bullet struck one of the horns. This does support Dan's theory of "shoot fast and shoot often". This time the method appears to have been successful.
Another angle of Dan's Tall Muley Buck. A good harvest on this old buck. Time to remove him from the pool.
Daniel with his first 4 point Muley. A nice big body on this grain fed Buck.
Daniel and I with his tall 4 Point.
The blood lust has ended.
Randy with his 4 point that took about a weeks worth of work and a lot of climbing.
Chet, John and Myself with my Gene Pool Buck.
Randy , John and Myself with another shot of the older buck. The green wheat didn't seem to hurt the meat flavor much at all.

Amanda's first Merriam
BC Hunt 2006
A head on shot shows what a nice big head this bear has. I will type up the journal notes as soon as I can.
Dan with his mule deer. A 4 point that was starting to show some non-typical tendencies. The bodies on the Mule Deer were a little bigger than we were used to seeing. I believe that is due to the abundance of feed and adaptation to the harsh environment.
Our Guide, Graham and I with my first moose. Graham was a great guide who spoke Canadian as well as English.
Graham and Dan with his bear. Dan made the shot at well over 200 yards and pumped 5 pieces of lead into the hardy beast.
Dan and I with his deer.
Dan, Happy with his bear. The Hair is especially long and no rubs.

Ross and I on a high ridge freezing to death on the trail of monster mule deer.
Tom Black with his caribou from the Alaska trip. Tom is in his mid 70's here. A grizzly had claimed this carcus before we got back for the second load of meat.
